Malaysia • 30 November–2 December 2008
From 30 November to 2 December 2008, Pastor Keith was in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to share the gospel of grace with youths, young adults and parents at a camp organised by Calvary Charismatic Centre.
Themed Revive Us Together, the camp was held at Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort. There, Pastor Keith preached a total of four sessions. Each session was attended by between 25 and 30 people aged 17 to 40.
Thailand • 14–21 November 2008
Between 14 and 21 November 2008, a 13-member team from our church was in Chiangrai, Thailand. They were there to be an expression of God’s love to the residents of Khun Mae Bong village and the students in Ban Dong Nam School.
On 15 November 2008, the team visited an old folks’ home where they had the opportunity to share the Word with 75 elderly residents and 10 staff members. At the end of their visit, five elderly persons received Christ.
On 16 November 2008, our missions team also visited the homes of 25 underprivileged children to bless them with love gifts.
On the last leg of their mission, our volunteers organised a three-day evangelistic camp in Ban Dong Nam School. Besides games, craft activities and songs, Bible lessons were also imparted to the students through skits, and the use of flash cards and big books. Close to 130 students attended the camp, and there were 120 salvations.
Thailand • 31 October–7 November 2008
From 31 October to 7 November 2008, two New Creation Church (NCC) staff and a group of 13 volunteers from our various ministries were in Chiangrai, Thailand. Their objective was to share God’s love with the students in Khun Mae Bong School and the families in Khun Mae Bong village.
At Khun Mae Bong School, the team organised a three-day evangelistic camp for some 210 students, and the gospel message was shared through lessons, skits, games, songs and craft activities. During an evangelistic service, more than 50 children responded to the altar call and gave their lives to Jesus.
Between 3 and 4 November 2008, our missions team split up into three groups to visit 14 believing families. Besides sharing the Word with them, the groups also prayed over each family and anointed them with the anointing oil. The families received gift packs of daily necessities.
China • 31 October–3 November 2008
Pastor Soo Teck and Pastor Christina were in China from 31 October to 3 November 2008. They were there to oversee the final disbursement of funds for a church building project, distribute love gifts to pastors and preach at a Sunday service.
On 31 October 2008, Pastor Soo Teck and Pastor Christina visited a new church building which New Creation Church had sowed into since May 2008. During this trip, the balance of RMB 297,250* was disbursed for the completion of the church building.
Pastor Soo Teck and Pastor Christina also visited local pastors on 1 November 2008 to distribute love gifts. In all, seven pastors were blessed.
On Sunday, 2 November 2008, Pastor Christina preached to some 300 people in a local church.
*Slightly over S$65,000 based on the exchange rate in October 2008.
Taiwan • 21–26 October 2008
Between 21 and 26 October 2008, Pastor Mark was in Taichung, Taiwan. He was accompanied by Pastor Soo Teck and an aide-de-camp from the Chinese Ministry. Pastor Mark had been invited to conduct leadership training for leaders of Abba Love Church, and to speak at a Grace Luncheon, an evangelistic event and a Sunday service.
Pastor Mark conducted four leadership training sessions in Abba Love Church, with each session attended by between 45 and 75 church leaders.
On 23 October 2008, a Grace Luncheon was held in a restaurant. There, Pastor Mark had the opportunity to sow gospel seeds into the hearts of some 250 people, including pastors and church leaders from other parts of Taiwan.
On the evening of 25 October 2008, Pastor Mark preached at an evangelistic event held in Abba Love Church. More than 80 people were at the event, 13 of whom received Christ.
On the last day of the mission, Pastor Mark ministered at Abba Love Church’s Sunday service. His message impacted close to 80 congregation members.
China • 7–13 October 2008
Pastor Mark, Pastor Soo Teck and a team from our Chinese Ministry were in China from 7 to 13 October 2008. The objectives of the mission were to conduct a three-day leadership training and to participate in three evangelistic events.
Pastor Mark’s three-day leadership training was held in a Christian training centre and he ministered to more than 300 pastors and church leaders. To help local leaders with the cost of attending this leadership training, New Creation Church sponsored the transport fees of some 30 leaders, and the full trip expenditure of another five leaders. The Christian training centre was also blessed with a transformer, beds, bed sheets and furniture bought with funds from our church.
Over three evangelistic services on 11 and 12 October 2008, Pastor Mark preached the gospel of grace to some 8,600 people. n total, 113 people made a first-time decision to receive Christ.
Australia • 1–6 October 2008
Pastor Joshua was in Barham, New South Wales, Australia, from 1 to 6 October 2008. He was there to conduct a Grace Conference for church leaders and to preach at a Sunday service.
Themed Captured By Grace, the conference comprised three sessions, each attended by between 20 and 40 church leaders, some of whom had travelled about 80 kilometres to hear the gospel of grace preached.
On Sunday, 5 October 2008, Pastor Joshua preached in Riverside Community Church. More than 20 people were impacted at the service.
Indonesia • 30 September–5 October 2008
Pastor Christina was in Medan, Indonesia, between 30 September and 5 October 2008. She had been invited by Pastor Johan Tjiunardi, senior pastor of Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) Church, to be their guest speaker at their church camp and Sunday service.
The four-day church camp was held at Samadi Maranatha from 1 to 4 October 2008, and Pastor Christina ministered to some 75 camp participants over four sessions.
On 5 October 2008, more than 210 people heard Pastor Christina preach the Word at GBI Church’s Sunday service and there were four salvations.
India • 7–14 September 2008
Between 7 and 14 September 2008, Pastor Joshua was in India to conduct a Grace & Leadership Seminar for pastors and leaders.
From 8 to 10 September 2008, the seminar was held in Sharon Gospel Assembly, located in Chennai, the capital city of the north-eastern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The seminar was attended by about 110 pastors and leaders.
On the evening of 9 September 2008, Pastor Joshua was also invited to preach at a midweek service in Apostolic Fellowship Tabernacle (AFT) in Chennai. More than 500 church members were blessed by the sharing of the Word.
From 11 to 12 September 2008, Pastor Joshua visited Bangalore, the capital city of the south-eastern Indian state of Karnataka, to conduct a Grace & Leadership Seminar at the CSI Women’s Home. There, some 15 pastors were blessed by the gospel of grace.
Thailand • 17–24 August 2008
From 17 to 24 August 2008, a team of volunteers and full-time staff from New Creation Church (NCC) was in Chiangmai, Thailand, to bring the gospel of grace to two schools and an old folks’ home.
The team spent five days in Chiangmai Christian School. There, they ministered to some 1,220 youths and 530 children through lessons, skits, games and other interactive activities. At the end of the mission, 479 students received Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
On 20 and 21 August 2008, the team visited Varee School. There, they conducted lessons and shared the Word and some testimonies with 270 youths.
On 22 August 2008, the team also brought joy and laughter to some 75 residents in an old folks’ home. The team performed a skit and song items to bless the elderly, and there were 25 salvations.
Malaysia • 16–20 August 2008
Pastor Gabriel was in Genting and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 16 to 20 August 2008. He had been invited to preach at Praise Sanctuary Church’s Sunday service and church camp.
On the morning of 17 August 2008, Pastor Gabriel preached the gospel of grace to some 60 people during the Sunday service at Praise Sanctuary Church in Kuala Lumpur.
From 17 to 19 August 2008, Pastor Gabriel was at the church camp held in Genting View Resort. Themed Destined To Reign, the camp was attended by more than 40 members of Praise Sanctuary Church. There, Pastor Gabriel preached the Word to the campers over four sessions.
Brunei • 1–4 August 2008
From 1 to 4 August 2008, Pastor Joshua was in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. He was there to conduct a Grace & Favour Seminar for leaders and members of Agape Family Centre (AFC), and to preach at their Sunday services.
Between 1 and 2 August 2008, Pastor Joshua conducted two seminar sessions and each session was attended by some 160 people. On the afternoon of 2 August 2008, Pastor Joshua was also invited to share at a Leaders’ Question-And-Answer (Q & A) Luncheon. About 30 ministry leaders attended the luncheon.
On Sunday, 3 August 2008, Pastor Joshua was the guest speaker at two services in AFC. Some 145 people received the Word at the first service, while 85 people were impacted at the second service. There were four salvations in total.
The Philippines • 27–31 July 2008
From 27 to 31 July 2008, Pastor Joshua was in the city of Manila, the Philippines, to conduct a Grace & Favour Seminar for pastors and church leaders.
Having preached there in February 2008, Pastor Joshua’s objective on this mission was to further establish the pastors and leaders in their understanding of the gospel of grace. He conducted six sessions, and each session was attended by between 100 and 250 delegates.
On 30 July 2008, Pastor Joshua was invited to preach at the midweek service in New Life Christian Center — The Fort. There, he shared the Word with some 120 people and two persons responded to the altar call at the end of the service.
China • 12–15 July 2008
Pastor Soo Teck was in China from 12 to 15 July 2008 to oversee the disbursement of funds for a new church building project. New Creation Church (NCC) had pledged to sow a total of RMB 897,942* into the building fund. Of this amount, RMB 180,000** had been disbursed during Pastor Soo Teck’s trip between 30 May and 5 June 2008 for the completion of the foundation works.
During this second trip, NCC disbursed RMB 180,000** to cover the cost of completing the first storey of the church building.
Between 16 and 21 August 2008, Pastor Soo Teck and a team of seven volunteers from our church visited China again. During this trip, NCC disbursed yet another RMB 180,000** towards the building fund for the completion of the church building’s second storey.
In addition, the team distributed love gifts to needy students under the Sponsor A Student programme. They visited the students’ homes, eight churches and a school. More than 100 students were blessed by the programme.
On 17 August 2008, Pastor Soo Teck shared the gospel at a Sunday service. Between 400 and 500 people were impacted by the message.
Thailand • 6–11 July 2008
Between 6 and 11 July 2008, a team of volunteers and full-time staff from New Creation Church (NCC) were in Sahabumrung Wittaya School (SWS).
This was our church’s fifth visit to the school to conduct a Christian camp for the students of SWS. The team’s objective was to further establish the students in the teaching of righteousness in Christ, and to encourage them through prayer and love gifts.
During the three-day camp, the gospel was preached to about 1,080 students through lessons, games, activities and drama items. At the end of the camp, there were 96 salvations. Currently, more than 230 underprivileged children have their school fees sponsored by NCC.
The team also conducted a three-part Bible study for the teachers of SWS. At the Bible study, 75 teachers were not only established in the truth of God’s love for them, but also taught how they can teach their students by grace.
China • 30 May–5 June 2008
From 30 May to 5 June 2008, Pastor Soo Teck was in China to oversee the disbursement of funds for a church building project.
New Creation Church (NCC) sowed a total of S$179,588.40 into the building fund. During this trip, 20 per cent (about S$36,000) was disbursed for the completion of the foundation works. Our church’s contribution will also cover the cost of constructing the new church building.
Indonesia • 3–4 May 2008
Pastor Mark was in Medan, Indonesia, from 3 to 4 May 2008. He was there on invitation by Pastor Johan Tjiunardi, senior pastor of Gereja Bethel Indonesia (GBI) Church, to be a guest speaker at one of their Sunday services.
Pastor Mark preached in Hokkien at GBI Church’s Hokkien and Mandarin combined service with simultaneous interpretation into Bahasa Indonesia by an interpreter. About 280 people received the Word and there were seven salvations at the end of the service.
India • 20–27 April 2008
Between 20 and 27 April 2008, Pastor Joshua was in India to preach at a seminar held in Anantapur, a district in the southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh.
Pastor Joshua conducted seven sessions which were attended by 52 village pastors. During one of the sessions, Pastor Joshua expounded on the benefits of speaking in tongues and 10 pastors received the gift of tongues.
Apart from ministering to the village pastors, Pastor Joshua also ministered to the widows and orphans in a home run by Pastor Utham Kumar’s ministry, Isaiah 61 Ministries.
Vietnam • 20–25 April 2008
From 20 to 25 April 2008, five New Creation Church staff and a group of 19 students from Arrow’s SMU/SIM/PTE cluster were in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The team was there to minister to the children and staff of an orphanage, and to impact youths and Bible school students with the gospel of grace.
At the orphanage, the team ministered to some 70 children who have cerebral palsy (a condition that results in physical and mental disabilities). Apart from organising simple activities for the children and praying over them, the team also helped to clean up the orphanage and brighten the children’s rest and play areas with a series of wall murals. There were two salvations and one of the children received the gift of tongues. In addition, the orphanage’s 18 full-time and part-time staff members were blessed with love gifts.
On the evening of 24 April 2008, the team attended a youth service. There, the gospel of grace was shared with some 120 youths and Bible school students.
Indonesia • 4–9 March 2008
Pastor Mark and a team from our Hokkien•Mandarin Ministry were in Palembang, a city in South Sumatra, Indonesia, from 4 to 9 March 2008. He was invited by CSJA Maranatha Church to conduct a leadership training session and to teach at a healing session. On top of the two teaching sessions, Pastor Mark also preached at an evangelistic dinner, a youth meeting and two rallies.
Pastor Mark’s teaching sessions blessed about 85 church leaders and members. About 300 people attended the evangelistic dinner, and some 100 youths were at the youth meeting.
Between 100 and 200 people attended each of the two rallies held at Hotel Royal Asia on 6 and 7 March 2008. The last rally carried such a strong healing anointing that many of the people who came forward for prayer received instantaneous healing.
The Philippines • 18–26 February 2008
Between 18 and 26 February 2008, Pastor Joshua was in three cities in the Philippines — Iloilo City, Bacolod City and Manila — to preach the gospel of grace.
He preached at six seminar sessions in Iloilo City and Bacolod City. Between 150 and 200 pastors and church leaders attended each of these seminar sessions.
On the final leg of his mission, Pastor Joshua travelled to Manila to preach at a Sunday service and to conduct a seminar. Some 700 people attended the Sunday service. Around 200 to 300 pastors, church workers and Bible school students were impacted by Pastor Joshua’s teaching at the seminar.
INDIA •21–25 January 2008
From 21 to 25 January 2008, Pastor Joshua was in Sirkali, a coastal town in the north-eastern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. There, he conducted a three-day Grace Conference for pastors and church leaders.
Some 250 people came each day to hear Pastor Joshua share about the gospel of grace, which he did over seven sessions. Two persons, including the bus driver who drove Pastor Joshua around during this mission, responded to the altar call and gave their lives to Jesus.
CHINA • 14–20 February 2008
From 14 to 20 February 2008, Pastor Soo Teck and a group of 10 volunteers from our church were in China. There, they ministered to the local congregation and distributed love gifts to needy students.
Pastor Soo Teck and Raymond Cheow, a care group leader from our Hokkien•Mandarin Ministry, were guest speakers at two Sunday services. About 260 people were impacted by their messages.
The group visited needy families in several locations to distribute love gifts under the Sponsor A Student programme. On the final leg of their mission, the group visited two primary schools and a church. In total, about 115 students benefited from the programme.
