Father’s Day Celebrations 2015

Everyone should be loved and valued — dads included! On Father’s Day on Sunday, 21 June 2015, we celebrated and honoured fathers as a church.

During our English services, a song item framed by two daddies’ humorous take on parenting reminded fathers to let Jesus lead them in their role as the head of the family. At the close of the services, Senior Pastor Joseph Prince prayed over the fathers to receive an abiding revelation of Father God as they lead and care for their families. He also prayed for them to walk in robust health, wisdom and the Lord’s supernatural provision.

On their way out after the services, all dads received a Father’s Day gift watch from the church. Packaged in a specially customised tin box, the watch carries our church’s theme of the year design on its face and has an engraving on its back to remind dads of God’s promise of restoration in Joel 2:25.

As a shout-out to the super dads who have been shielding, nurturing and guiding them, kids in our children’s ministry Rock Kidz lovingly made “superhero shields” and penned thank-you notes on them for their beloved daddies.

Over at our Chinese services, it was especially heartwarming to see congregants bringing their dads and grandpas to celebrate Father’s Day in the Father’s house. At both the Hokkien and Mandarin services, they received a word of encouragement from Pastor Mark Ng reminding them of Daddy God’s love for them and His desire to supply all their needs abundantly. In addition, fathers were blessed with a comfy neck pillow and had a fun time snapping pictures with their loved ones at the photo booths.
