Our eight-month-old baby, Noah, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday because of Stridor Croup (an infection of the breathing passages). He was discharged on Sunday and we were very relieved!
The next day, he developed a high fever. I administered his medication, and my husband and I refused to be worried that his viral infection had relapsed. As we took care of Noah, we decided to keep our eyes on Jesus and watched Pastor Prince’s Lakewood sermon on the Internet.
In Pastor Prince’s sermon, he shared about his daughter Jessica's illness when she was a baby. He shared that he had prayed to Jesus after doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, and how Jessica was healed by the Lord eventually.
While we have heard him share this incident many times before, it impacted us greatly as it was what we needed to hear that day. We believed that Daddy God knew what we needed and that this was no coincidence at all!
As we listened to Pastor Prince, my husband and I agreed in prayer that as Christ is, so are our kids in this world. Through Jesus’ finished work on the cross and His amazing grace, Noah's fever that persisted for over three hours finally broke! We finished watching the sermon and praised Jesus as we experienced our little miracle.
Looking back, we were so ministered to by Jesus’ perfect timing. Pastor Prince could have preached about anything, and we could have played another sermon that night, but Jesus’ timing is always “perfectly perfect”! It didn’t matter if I was watching the sermon in Lakewood or via the Internet because His Word is living and ministers to us each time we hear it.
Thank you, Pastor Prince, for allowing the Lord to use you. May He continue to bless you, your family and your ministry! Amen!
