For the third year running, varsity students from The Zone, our church’s youth ministry, travelled miles from home just to bring the gospel into the classrooms of Thailand. On 9 July 2013, 611 children from Kindergarten One to Secondary Three at Serb Nathee Tham School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, arrived early in school, and waited in anticipation for the arrival of the Singapore missions team.
They were fully rewarded when the varsity youth volunteers made a high-energy appearance with an enthusiastic dance performance!

Throughout their trip, the youths actively engaged the children in Christ-centred games, Bible lessons and worship sessions. Months of preparation and hard work had gone into the planning of these activities which aimed to exalt Jesus as the children’s righteousness, provider and healer.

Impacting young lives in Thailand!
On the last day, team leader, Benaiah Wong, led the team in a "love attack" to 15 needy families, bringing gift packages filled with much-needed necessities. The youths jumped at this blessed opportunity to bring the gospel of grace to the doorsteps of the underprivileged.
However, for Jane Lim, a student at National University of Singapore, sharing the gospel with total strangers was a Herculean task. “It had always been my wish to reach out to others but somehow I never had that confidence to share the gospel.” To help Jane overcome this weakness, the team got together to pray and anoint her. Later that day, Jane was asked to share the good news with one of the students’ aged grandmother, who readily accepted Jesus as her Saviour. This was definitely a joyous moment for everyone, especially Jane!

In all, a total of 244 decisions were made for Christ during the three days at Serb Nathee Tham School. All glory to Jesus!
