“Surely, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!”
To 27-year-old Logistics & Transport server, Victor Lim, this was more than a faith cry. Having participated in the missions trip to Thailand, Victor is absolutely convinced that with Jesus, he is able to perform even the most daunting task.
From 13 to 18 October 2013, Victor and 23 Logistics & Transport servers, embarked on the ministry’s first missions trip to Sahabumrung Wittaya School in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand. During these six days, the team organised two games carnivals and built a wormery for the school. They also visited the homes of 13 needy students and blessed them with daily necessities.
On the second day of their arrival, Victor’s team headed straight for the homes. With no one to turn to for advice, their sole trust was in God and His unfailing love for the people they were about to visit. What happened next was nothing short of a miracle. Words which they never thought they would say, came supernaturally to them and the good news was preached to every household. By the end of the entire trip, 10 precious souls were saved!

Apart from the home visits, the volunteers also put together two games carnivals for the students. Nominated as the Games In Charge , Victor achieved another personal milestone as he addressed 156 students, aged four to 14, for the first time on stage.

“All my life, I had never used a microphone and to make matters worse, it was pouring heavily before we even started. Honestly, I was disappointed. But later, I learnt that the teachers were glad that the games were held in the hall so that they could keep watch over the students. Though nothing went according to our plans, everyone had a great time! Praise be to God for what He had done!”

As for the wormery building project, the team was also blessed with superb weather. As though an invisible shield had surrounded the whole construction site, the heat from the blazing midday sun had little effects on the enthusiastic volunteers!

Thumbs up for a job well done!

“The weather was so good, it was like we had the same pillar of cloud that protected the children of Israel in the wilderness,” shared Victor, “Our team could work comfortably and finish the project on time! In fact, everything was so effortless, I felt like I did nothing at all and Jesus did everything!”
