Building on the first work of a team that came to Wat Lan Tong School in 2012, 22 volunteers from New Creation Church organised sports and craft sessions for the local students and visited their homes during their missions trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Held from 20 to 26 July 2014, the team was led by team leader Jimmy Beh. Together with the other volunteers, they seek to demonstrate God’s love in practical ways and to sow seeds in the hearts of the villagers.

A total of 175 children turned up over three days while our team was there. They had games, skits, craft and English classes where they learnt about Jesus and His finished work. Our volunteers felt blessed to be able to be with the children and to pray for them.
In addition, the team conducted 14 home visitations. The recipients included the school children, teachers and parents who live around Wat Lan Tong School. The team was also privileged to get a chance to pray for healing for the villagers.
Joshua, 22, shared his experience about a man receiving Christ.
“I started by sharing with him the gospel of grace and he accepted Christ! We even got to anoint his house and pray that it would not get repossessed. For me, it was just so amazing to witness it in front of your very eyes how God can soften hearts and love them.”
“Overall, it was a memorable and life changing trip. It made me realise how privileged I am and I got to see first–hand God working so mightily,” he said.
