Father to the fatherless, defender of widows — this is God, whose dwelling is holy.
(Psalm 68:5, NLT)
During the first two weeks of December, our volunteers and their children from the postnatal support group demonstrated God’s love in a practical way by delivering gift packs of daily essentials to a group of widows to their doorsteps. This is the second year of partnership between our church and the local organisation WiCare to bring a glimmer of hope to the widows and to remind them that they are not forgotten by God and the society.

On Saturday, 12 December 2015, our Chinese Ministry servers joined a group of ex-offenders residing in a Christian halfway home at their morning devotion. Pastor Christina Wee was invited to share a short message on God’s grace and pray with the residents.
After the event, our volunteers also helped to deliver gift packs and letters written by the residents to their loved ones.

At around 9.30am on Saturday, 12 December 2015, some 800 care group members and ministry volunteers were out in force to deliver gift packs of essential items to low-income families and the underprivileged elderly in various parts of Singapore.
This marked the second week of our Gift Of Love distribution where more than 5,000 gift packs were given out to bless Singaporeans across society.
Some of our nation’s leaders also joined our volunteers to hand out gift packs to the needy in their respective constituencies.

Christmas is just around the corner and what better way to share God’s love than to bless those in our community during this season of giving!
On Saturday, 5 December 2015, some 750 church members participated in our church’s Gift Of Love community outreach effort. They spread out across Singapore to deliver gift packs of daily necessities such as canned food and supermarket vouchers to underprivileged families.
Our Outreach volunteers gathering early in the morning for a briefing. Organising the gift packs for distribution. Praying over the gift packs before setting off to distribute them. Many church members came with their entire family to share the joy of giving!
“We just feel that we want to help,” shared Alawn Koh, a father of two. “And we want to show our children that with their two hands and their hearts, they can help anybody.”
Mr Alawn Koh and his lovely family!
Our pastors and their families also pitched in to help.

More than 2,000 gift packs were given out to the less fortunate from Care Corner, AWWA, Lion Befrienders, NTUC Eldercare, Sarah Seniors Activity Centre and Fei Yue Community Services.
We want to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to this event and we look forward to another wonderful time of blessing the community as our care group members and ministry servers continue to bring our gifts of love to the underprivileged families and foreign workers over the next two weeks. Stay tuned for more updates!
