I was heavily addicted to drugs and alcohol for about 10 years before God delivered me in July 2012. Praise God, I have been clean and sober ever since. But I was tested reactive for hepatitis C in 2012. In 2013, I was again tested and found to be still reactive with the virus.
Over this past year, I began listening to Joseph Prince and attending Grace Revolution Church in Dallas. I also began partaking of the holy Communion at home. A couple on the prayer team prayed for healing for me one Sunday after church, and I continued to stand in Jesus’ finished work whenever I took the Communion.
Sometime later, I went to see an infectious diseases specialist to do blood work in order to find out what genotype of hepatitis C I had to get the right treatment. A few weeks later, I received a call from the doctor to say she had good news for me: I was a rare individual because I had developed antibodies against the virus and am immune to it. She told me that my body had fought the virus off and I don't need any treatments. Praise Jesus! All glory to Him! As Jesus is, so am I in this world. As He doesn’t have hepatitis C in His blood, neither do I!
What is so neat about this is I have not been spending as much time as I would have liked to with God. I felt like I had fallen short this year as a Christian. I haven’t even been to church that much. This is a strong message for me—that there is nothing I can do to earn my healing or right standing with the Father. The fact I have felt less spiritual over the past year but was still healed is a powerful testament to the radical grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On top of that, I have not gotten sick with a cold or anything else all year. Normally, I get sick at least 3 to 4 times during the winter months. Every time I felt like I was starting to get sick, I would claim Jesus’ finished work over my body. I would wake up the next morning healed and refreshed! Praise God!
Thank you so much, Pastor Prince, for the amazing message of God’s grace that changed my life. Thank you for opening my eyes to the power of Jesus’ finished work and His agape love for us.
