THE STAR PAC AS A PERFORMING ARTS VENUE

The Star Performing Arts Centre (The Star PAC) is operated as a venue provider on a purely commercial basis, and is required to adhere to the laws and regulations stipulated by the authorities in Singapore. This includes not implementing any leasing or pricing policies that will discriminate between religious groups, institutions or organisations from hiring the venue. Any breach of these terms would be seen as a serious violation of the regulations thus stipulated by the authorities. Furthermore, The Star PAC operates its business independently from New Creation Church (NCC) with a strict arms-length policy in place.

In addition, all public events held at The Star PAC as well as at any other commercial venue in Singapore require a Public Entertainment License, which is issued by the Singapore Police Force, and are also subject to regulation by the Media Development Authority. Provided that the authorities have issued the necessary licenses to the event organiser, The Star PAC is unable to turn away or cancel the booking. It is not a position that we take as a church, but a legal obligation that must be upheld in operating The Star PAC as a venue provider. In the absence of any official direction from the authorities, any cancellation of an event is at the discretion of the event organiser and not at the discretion of the venue provider.

Any event or concert presented at The Star PAC should not be misconstrued or misunderstood as having NCC approving of its artistic presentation or endorsing the lifestyle of the performers.

NON-AFFILIATION STATEMENT

New Creation Church is a non-denominational church, and a member of the National Council of Churches of Singapore. Jesus Christ takes centre place in our church, from the focus of our services, outreach efforts and worship to its day-to-day operations and volunteer activities.
